Paper Abstract:      This study was carried out to investigate the effect of prior knowledge (high vs. low; HPK and LPK) on learners’ navigation in network structured hypermedia systems. Thirteen prospective high school computer teachers participated in the study. They navigated a website to learn the content about ActiveX Data Object (ADO) which was designed in a network structure. Navigation data was logged into a file and metrics related to navigation structure were calculated by analysis of these files. The results showed that there were significant differences between LPK and HPK learners’ navigation structure. HPK learners’ navigation was found to being better structured than LPK learners.
